I'm so excited to be hosting my inaugural Pro-Am golf tournament for the Alzheimer's Society of York Region. This cause holds a special place in my heart, as my grandmother suffers from Alzheimer's and dementia.

The 2020 event is a 16 pro (women and men), 16 amateur field. The pros will play their own ball and compete for a separate purse, while still competing with their amateur partner in a team competition. 100% of proceeds will go to the Alzheimer's Society of York Region.

About
The Alzheimer's society

My long term goal for this event is to continue to create opportunity for men and women pros to compete in the same event, for a great cause. In addition to showcasing some of the best pros, the Pro-Am format of incorporating amateurs creates a fun, team competition.

My motivation for the partnership with the Alzheimer's Society of York Region comes from years of being a caregiver to my grandmother, who suffers from dementia.

To all that participate in my event, donate, or support my cause, thank you so much for your support.

More than 15,000 York Region residents have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and other dementia, with that number expected to more than double by 2031.

AS York delivers D.A.Y. programs services in Aurora, Thornhill, and Stouffville, provides social workers to help people on the dementia journey and offers public education to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease and other dementias at workplaces, schools, and places of worship.

With your support, AS York can offer programs and services to help people on the dementia journey.
